Diary of J. Risque Hutter [manuscript], 1861.

Captain Hutter's diary describes a trip to Florida early in the year, the declaration of war and forming of Lynchburg companies, drilling, camp life,skirmishes and rumors until he was incapacitated by typyoid fever in October. Of interest is his description of the battle of Bull Run.
